The Bridge Radio
The Bridge radio is an independent radio project created by people with and without citizenship, who produce radio about migration, asylum and people’s movements. The radio strives to support self-organisation among people who live without citizenship and to create a wide group of reporters. The Bridge Radio was initiated in the Trampoline House in Copenhagen in spring 2015.
While staying critical towards the dominant discourse on asylum and migration and challenge premises for the current public debate, the Bridge Radio aims to share information about current developments related to asylum and migration. It strives to spread migrants’ own stories about struggles for freedom of mobility.
The Bridge Radio - At the border
The Bridge Radio is going to Belgrade, Serbia in September 2015. We will collect audio material and be present at the borderspace to monitor the situation and support migrants’ struggles for freedom. Our aim is not to represent anyone, but to create a space for people’s own voices and stories. We will regularly upload audio material and document what is happening.
The Bridge Radio in Copenhagen will do a radio-collage with the audio collected.
